We Love Love…ing Booze
Love is in the air! Whether it’s a fulfilling friendship (lookin’ at you, co-founder) or a break from the stress of parenting to glare at each other in nicer clothes in a different setting, we’re wishing you a happy Valentines and Galentines season!
That Premium Life
As you well know (or maybe you don’t, welcome if you’re new here) our schtick is: Drink better. All your meals deserve the delightful pop of a tasty treat to complement the monotony of the everyday. After all, eating is inherently social! Oh, what’s that? Some of you like to eat alone (Verity)? Weird.
Anyhow! Here are some great options even if you’re pretending V-day doesn’t exist.
Thai takeout for the no-cook folks, we’ve got you! Our go-to is green curry with tofu and we’re not sorry about it. We also make no apologies for our choice of beverage: Winzer Krems Riesling Kreuzberg Reserve. Lower maintenance than your ex boyfriend and smoother too. It’s high quality and a perfect representation of what German Riesling should be. It works with spicy thai because of its aromatic perkiness and a tiny bit of residual sugar. But not too much, because we hear y’all are fussy about that.
We hate that we’re pairing dino shaped chicken nuggets from Costco (not not for Caty), but on the day of love we’re willing to sell our souls a little for cofounder happiness. From a tasting perspective, the nugget shape doesn’t matter but the expression of the nugget does. We take your budget processed snack, and raise it some champers. Mailly Brut Reserve Grand Cru meets dino nuggets where they are, cutting through the fat with lively acidity and wrapping that dino in a little bubbly blanket.
Ah yes, and for the fancy among us: how to pick when the wine list is crazy long at that steakhouse your hubby made the reservation at. First of all, go by the glass. This means less commitment and more selection – is this a dating metaphor too? We digress. Next visit beta.sipp.ly for drink inspo! We’re currently obsessed with Agiorgitiko as a low key different option to all the California out there.
Gimme Lime, On the rocks, Salt
We are in a massive business development cycle and making great progress! Slow and steady wins the race with relationship building, so we’re taking our time to do it right.
If you know people in the retail grocery industry, ping Caty! She’s making new friends, but keeping the old. One is silver and the other is gold. We never really understood which one was which since silver is first place loser, but we digress. Her contact is: caty@sipp.ly.
