Saying “Moist” One Last Time
Happy end of Moist January! As you well know, we’re not the dry types. We do love mixed hydration, though, and have been sipping on a variety of beverages for the past 30 days ourselves, we’re so happy to welcome everyone else back in the mix!
Splurge to End Your Moistness
Putting aside that Verity’s Google search history is now filled with, “how to boot a co-founder from your company,” queries, here are fantastic splurges to transition from moist to wet.
We’re jumping straight into the hard stuff, thank God for The Original South Side Gin Cocktail. This happy little canned cocktail reflects our feelings about Wet February™ perfectly. Crack open one of these light and botanical treasures (unanimously a fav of Wirecutter’s tasting panel), paired with just about anything from light salads to chicken, and experience nirvana. Or at least a really tasty drink and snacks. Who doesn’t love that?
For a More Measured Re-entry
If you’re wading back into our favorite 11 months of the year with a more gradual transition, how about a glass or more of Martin Ray Pinot Noir from the Sonoma coast? It earned 93 points from James Suckling for a reason: it’s complex, elegant, and makes a great pairing partner for a range of foods with the ability to stand up to heartier meats like pork and beef because this Pinot is no delicate flower. Like one cofounder, I won’t use names.
Last week we had a fun chat with one of the brains behind female-founded Madame Paleta Flavored Tequila. Move over vodka and light beer, tequila is the new sheriff in town. We love Madame Paleta because they are woo-woo about being natural and all of that granola stuff, but also produce a damn delicious tequila. They have perfected flavor infused tequila with grapefruit, tamarind and pineapple - we’re here for it. Pair with the obvious choice of Mexican fare, or have fun experimenting with new pairings like paella or sushi.
You can IYKYK these drinks to your hearts content. They are smart, classy, not obvious picks for those of you who absolutely saw the band before they got famous.
We are welcoming Rosie Sam to the team as a helpful hand in marketing! Rosie’s experience in the rolling vineyards of Canada’s Okanagan Valley Wine region adds a complementary ingredient to Sipply’s proverbial cocktail!
